Reddit's Worst Christmas Presents

With the holidays approaching and kids getting excited for the gifts they’ll receive, most tend to be happy with their gifts, while others find themselves not too pleased. A few of the worst presents kids have received on Christmas include items like boring clothes, books, or socks. Reddit user tom13dm had left some video games in his mom's room. His mom must have assumed the games had been purchased by the dad as gifts for his son. When tom13dm opened his gift, he found his own games.

The next story involves Reddit user AngryCyclops. He explained that he had been confused after receiving a book from Santa called Coping with Being Adopted while in high school. Another user, DatCat, explained a really awkward situation. DatCat’s aunt had bought socks for her grandmother, which presented a clear problem as the grandmother had her legs amputated.

Another story having to do with socks, involved politicalpartygirl, who’s Christmas gift included 18 pairs of socks when 12 years old. She tried really hard to look grateful and thanked her parents. With each pair of socks she opened she progressively got more upset, and it didn’t help seeing her brother rip through all his exciting, sockless gifts. She ended up excusing herself to go to the bathroom and started crying. Her mom went to ask why she got upset and told her to stop crying, explaining she got socks because she wanted her to have something to unwrap as her brother had a lot of cheaper stuff and she had one bigger item which was a laptop. Politcalpartygirl mentioned she felt incredibly spoiled and embarrassed. The story definitely had a happy ending.

Although there might be times where people feel like they don’t get what they want for the holidays, being grateful for what they do have can lead to true happiness.
