As 2022 comes around the corner, people make their resolutions in hope that they can accomplish them going into the new year. According to Abbot, some of the healthiest ways to start off the new year include the following.

Quantity of Sleep

Each year, people lose more and more sleep due to their lifestyles changing. According to Verywellfit, adults tend to be less likely to sleep during the night, making it less likely for them to be active during the day due to lack of sleep. The majority of that group of people become more likely to be overweight or even obese. The body needs to get sleep for the body to function.

Exercise

Exercising each day does play a key role in health. Being more active helps incorporate more movement in the day. Sources like Conehealth say many people work sedentary jobs, which make them sit down for at least six hours each day without a break. A lot of people should consider joining fitness classes and gyms or even going outside for a quick jog.

Spending Time With Love Ones

Spending time with family and friends should always be the biggest priority when considering having healthy relationships. Many may say that emotional stress can be relieved when spending time with loved ones. According to Health, parents who spend more time with their children tend to be more cooperative, friendly and cheerful. Everyone benefits from the time they share with their family and friends.

Mindful Eating

Food will always be the most important thing to the human body. Nutritious foods like fruits and vegetables can be healthy alternatives to junk food. Healthline says that brightly colored fruits and vegetables can be high in antioxidants that will boost people's health and prevent damage to cells in the body.

Celebrities also have shared their New Year's resolutions in the past. According to Thriveglobal, stars like Katie Couric shared that she would spend “less time on social media.” Singer Demi Lovato also said that she would live life to the fullest and wouldn’t take another day for granted. New Year’s resolutions can be a healthy way to start off the new year. As 2022 arrives, grab an apple, go on a jog, or ask friends and family to visit.
