Valentine’s Day White Chocolate Chex Mix

While Valentine’s Day will undoubtedly be different this year, it can still be about celebrating friendships and significant others. So, why not celebrate by making a delicious treat? This simple recipe from Inspiredbycharm.com only takes 20 minutes to make and an hour to cool.


Necessary Ingredients:

3 cups of Wheat Chex

3 cups of Rice Chex

3 cups of Cheerios

3 cups of M&M’s (preferably Valentine’s Day themed)

1 ½ cups of pretzels

1 cup of honey roasted peanuts

5 cups of white chocolate chips

1 tablespoon of vegetable shortening (or Crisco)

Sprinkles


Every ingredient in the list besides the shortening and chocolate can be interchangeable.

Separate into individual plastic bags and give to friends or loved ones for a fun Valentine's Day gift.

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, combine the Wheat and Rice Chex, Cheerios, peanuts, and two cups of M&M’s.

  2. Mix evenly and distribute onto a pan with parchment paper. In a pot, melt the white chocolate and vegetable shortening at medium heat.

  3. Drizzle the melted chocolate over the mixture and stir with a wooden spoon.

  4. Mix evenly until everything has been coated with chocolate. Distribute the remaining M&M’s and sprinkles over the chocolate.

  5. Let cool for about an hour and then break apart and store in an airtight container.

  6. Enjoy and share with loved ones for a Valentine’s Day treat.
