During the day, it can be easy to get pulled into school, stress, and scrolling social media. Many high school students find themselves becoming more and more sedentary with the rise of digitalized education. Little things like reaching our step goals, drinking enough water, staying organized, and getting enough sleep seem impossible when one spends their days completing assignments on a computer. For an opportunity to increase mental, physical, and organizational well-being, take the quiz below to find out which worthwhile healthy habit suits you!


1. It's Monday morning. Your alarm clock goes off, and you know that the time has come to get up and start your day. What do you think first?

a. You want to get up and go on a walk, do a workout, and just get your blood pumping.

b. You need to plan your day: you want to write down all assignments and obligations to be as productive as possible.

c. You really just want to go back to sleep, and give your brain a few more minutes to be sluggish.

d. You are hungry, and you are ready to get to the kitchen and start your day off with a nice breakfast to wake you up.


2. You find yourself sitting in the middle of your second period class and your mind has wandered from the lesson. What thoughts go through your head?

a. You cannot wait for lunch and plan on walking the whole time, because sitting in this chair makes you antsy.

b. You calculate how long it will take you to finish your homework, and maybe even try to get a head start during the lesson.

c. You can feel your brain reaching its limit of information intake, and you know that pretty soon you will need to give it a break to process anything else that you are learning.

d. You feel tired and ready for a small pick-me-up snack to keep you going.


3. School is out! What do you plan on doing with your afternoon?

a. You feel excited to have sports practice this afternoon, and you can’t wait to run and work out and spend your energy.

b. You get ready to knock out your homework so that you can maximize your free time.

c. You feel tired from the long day, and plan on taking a power nap when you get home to reset yourself.

d. You prepare to head over to an extracurricular activity that requires lots of energy and physical exertion, so you grab a quick snack to maximize your potential.


4. Your friend asks you to get together one day after school. What do you plan on doing?

a. You want to go to the nearest park and play basketball or take a walk.

c. You want to have a movie night or sleepover, something that will allow you both to relax and release stress.

5. You have a big test tomorrow. How do you prepare the night before?

a. You go for a run in order to release your energy. You also plan on waking up early to get a workout in before going to sit for a long period of time during your test.

b. You review your notes one more time, knowing that the study plan that you created assures your success on the test tomorrow.

c. You take a bath and go to sleep early so that your mind will be well rested for the test.

d. You plan a big, nutritious breakfast for the next morning so that your body will be fully fueled when you take the test.

a. Staying physically active, and constantly finding opportunities to move around and strengthen your body.

b. Staying organized, and keeping track of commitments in order to minimize stress.

c. Getting plenty of sleep and taking mental breaks throughout your day.
