Entertainment for the Masses

Each new year brings new movies of varying quality and entertainment value. Nonetheless, people continue to feel excited about intriguing sequels or all-original movies. Besides, who doesn’t like sitting down with a bowl of popcorn and a movie? This year, studios have promised the world several sources of lengthy amusement.

For the young adults

These movies suit young teenagers and more mature audiences. Coming to theaters on May 6, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will be the “first scary MCU movie,” which director Scott Derrickson hinted at in 2019. The biographical musical Elvis will hit theaters on June 24 and display the life and career of the King of Rock and Roll. The action movie Avatar 2—a sequel to the film directed by James Cameron, not the animated series—will find its way to theaters on December 16 and build upon the original 2009 movie.

For the whole family

These family-geared movies might be enjoyable to watch with parents, siblings, and friends alike. Chip ‘n’ Dale: Rescue Rangers continues a 1989 series of the same name and will be released on May 20 to Disney+. On June 17, theaters will start showing Lightyear—a movie about the well-known character from Toy Story Buzz Lightyear. Another origin story, Minion 2: The Rise of Gru, will premiere on July 1 in theaters.

For the pets

These films can be enjoyed by anyone, but pets will surely appreciate seeing their likenesses on the screen. On July 22, Paws of Fury: The Legend of Hank will grace the nation, though where it can be watched has not yet been released. Centered around classic heroes and their animal companions, DC League of Super-Pets will come to theaters on July 29 from Warner Bros. Pictures.

No matter what genre may strike a viewer’s fancy, a variegated array of movies will come to theaters and streaming platforms this year to amuse any audience. Hopefully, there will be a movie for everyone. For additional information about movies and their release dates, Movie Insider provides a substantial list of the new cinematic arrivals.
